The municipality of Gladsaxe has about 63,000 inhabitants. The municipality has roughly 31,000 dwellings and about 35,000 workplaces.
There are good conditions both for children and the young and old generation in the municipality, which also has a rich social and cultural life and many recreational areas.

The municipality is situated in Copenhagen County and covers an area of about 2,500 ha, half of which are housing sectors. Gladsaxe has an extensive motorway system and other good traffic connections.
With about 34,000 jobs, Gladsaxe is the municipality in the metropolitan area (outside Copenhagen) which has the most jobs to offer. There are more than 2,800 companies in Gladsaxe. 3 large industrial districts have been established in the municipality.
